POPIA Information Notice

Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 — Section 18 Notification

In terms of Section 18 of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), Investosure Financial Consultants (Pty) Ltd is required to notify you at the time of collecting your personal information of the matters set out below. Please read this notice carefully.

4. Whether Provision is Voluntary or Mandatory

Provision of your personal information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the required information, we will not be able to generate a quote, process your application, or fulfil our regulatory obligations as a licensed FSP.

Certain information (such as your name, date of birth, contact details and banking information) is mandatory for the purposes of completing an insurance application. Optional fields are clearly marked in the application form.

7. Transfer of Information Outside South Africa

Your personal information is stored and processed within the Republic of South Africa. Our web hosting infrastructure is located at the Teraco data centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. We do not transfer your personal information to any party outside South Africa, except where required by law.

8. Right to Object and Right to Withdraw Consent

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information or to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Information Officer. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

Please note that if you withdraw consent before an application is finalised, we will be unable to complete the application process on your behalf.

9. Automated Decision-Making

Our quote engine uses automated processing to calculate insurance premiums based on age, cover type, and insurer rate tables. No fully automated decisions are made about your insurance eligibility — all applications are reviewed and submitted by an Investosure consultant. The automated quote is for informational comparison purposes only.

11. Right to Access and Correction

In terms of Section 23 of POPIA, you have the right to request access to your personal information held by us, and to request that inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out-of-date, incomplete, or misleading information be corrected or deleted. 12. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe that your personal information has been processed in a manner that violates POPIA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa:

13. Sharing with Alternative FSP Partners (Optional — Separate Consent Required)

If your application cannot be processed by any of our accredited insurer partners, Investosure may wish to refer your contact details to vetted partner FSPs who may be able to offer alternative funeral cover solutions. This will only occur with your separate, explicit, and informed consent and will never happen automatically. You will be contacted separately and asked for this consent before any referral is made.
